Operations Specialist
Job Description
The Operations Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the office. Make things run smoothly with creative solutions.
Location: Our SE Portland Shop — partial Work from Home possible.Tasks & Responsibilities
Administrative Tasks- Ordering Supplies & Materials
- Scheduling Deliveries and Visits
- Greeting Clients and handling their queries
- Answering phones
- Answering Customer Email & Online Chat Questions
- Assist with Sales & Support
- Create Customer Quotes
- Bookkeeping
- Managing office budget
- Overseeing and coordinating projects
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Research new systems or tools that can increase efficiency
Qualifications
- Any experience in an office coordination role
- Excellent organizational & time management
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills
- Work independently & as part of a team
- Superb problem solving capability
- Proficient in Google Workspace
- Airtable experience is ideal
- Xero (Bookkeeping) experience is a bonus
- Knowledge of CNC machines, manufacturing, or Computer-Aided Design not required but 🤌

CNC Operator / Shop Maker
We are looking for someone to add to our CNC routing shop. Our focus is on high-quality CNC routing and design. Most of our projects are in wood or non-metallic materials.
Job Description
The ideal candidate would have a background in CNC operation and working in a woodshop.
An added bonus if you have CAD design (Fusion or Rhino), or CNC programming experience. Any combination of these skills is acceptable for applicants, however. Most importantly we are looking for the right person who is hungry to learn, has a tenacity to problem-solve and complete tasks on time.
Primary Job Tasks
- Operate our CNC router
- Manufacture parts via CNC and traditional shop tools
- Material handling
- Post-processing: Trim router, roundover edges, assemble parts, sanding, some light finishing.
- Learn to modify and ideally setup CAM programming
Experience
- Experience operating a CNC, we use WinCNC
- Woodworking background preferred
- Big bonus if you have CAM experience, especially Fusion 360
- Must be able to lift, carry, and load onto CNC bed full-size sheet material (80lb)
- Great job for a student looking for experience, internship a possibility
- Must be 18 years or older

CNC / CAD Summer Intern
We are looking for an intern for our CNC routing shop. Our focus is on high-quality CNC routing and design of all types. This position is for the summer (May-August) but could continue indefinitely if the right fit.
